Tado, the smart home company has released the Smart AC Controller, which is compatible with HomeKit. The AC controller is available in the UK and many European countries starting today.
The controller works with air conditioning units and heat pumps. But the big news about V3 is that the Smart AC is now HomeKit compatible, something that has been promised for the V2 version.
The new design is a sleek white design, matching the style of the Tado Smart Thermostat, and features a white LED that will light up to announce changes to temperature.
Along with HomeKit support, the Smart AC controller gets the V3+ treatment. The upgrade introduces several features, such as the Air Comfort Skill which measures air freshness inside and outside of your home. You also get Geo fencing, Open Window Detection, Weather Adaptation, and insightful energy reports that save energy and improve comfort.
HomeKit integration means you can control the temperature through the Home app on iOS or Mac, or using Siri voice commands across all Apple devices, including the HomePod. The Tado smart AC controller product is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.
Tado Smart AC is available to buy now in the UK and many European countries too. No news on US release, like with the other Tado range.
