Waterproof with Speedo on

The Samsung Gear Fit2 is waterproof to 50 meters. It also comes with Speedo’s latest swimming training app, Speedo On, which allows users to easily track key swim metrics including lap count, lap time, stroke type, and more. This is also available for Garmin wearables, but in this case, the app lives on the device.

Design and features

The Samsung Fit 2 Pro now comes in small and large sizes, in a choice of red and black. Both designs come with a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED screen and that is a smaller screen than latest years Gear Fit2. People will also welcome the new design as I heard many complaints regarding the band breaking, so hopefully, this will be improved

Onboard music

Samsung has added music capabilities to the Gear Fit2 Pro, with its partnership with Spotify. Offline playback will hold up to 500 of your tracks on the band’s 4GB of internal memory. This storage is not exclusive to music so you will need to share it with app’s, but this is enough storage for a typical run and for the market Samsung are aiming at

Samsung Gear Fit2 pro pricing and availability

Samsung has started pre-orders for the device in the US and pricing starts at $199 and will ship within the next month. Unfortunately, Samsung has stayed pretty tight-lipped about when the Gear Fit2 Pro will launch in the UK, but I suspect it will be around £199 given how US vs UK pricing works out
