Garmin Forerunner 645 leaked with Music storage

Pictures of what is supposedly the Garmin Forerunner 645 has been leaked online with an indication it will have music storage and I am expecting this to be a real leak like the Garmin Vivoactive 3 back in August. People have been expecting Garmin to release a new Forerunner as the successor for the Forerunner 630.

As you can see from the leaked pictures of the forerunner 635, the fitness wearable features a circle design similar to the Fenix 5 and Vivoactive 3

Garmin Forerunner 645 to come with music

As the name suggests the Garmin Forerunner 645 is rumoured to come with music storage and I suspect will come with around 8GB of storage. What is not clear is if the Forerunner 645 will support any music streaming service like Pandora or Spotify and this I find highly unlikely given the tie in other smartwatch companies have and comments made by a Garmin rep made at an event I attended in London recently who said Garmin had no plans to get into music streaming on their wearables but could look at music storage in the future.

What other features to expect on the Garmin Forerunner 645?

Whilst the biggest feature to come to the Forerunner 635 is music storage, I am also expecting a wrist HR which is not on the 630. I also expect some sort of interchangeable band option along with different colour options and this all based on the pictures in this leak. I don’t expect it to be a touchscreen, but this may be a surprise. I also expect it to get running dynamics and all the usual fitness tracking and features.

So let me know in the comments what you think and what you would like to see

  1. If this is accurate and comes in at the same price of the 735 I’ll be throwing money at my screen as soon as it’s official. From the one picture it looks like music is an optional feature and one I can do without although I understand that there’s a large market for it.

I bought a Vivoactive 3 because I didn’t think that the new Forerunners would have a nice bezel to make it a decent daily/formal-ish wear watch based on the 935 looks. I use it for daily wear, short easy runs, strength, and yoga training but stick with my 735 for workout runs and races. This though could bridge the gap and put me back to a 1 watch solution.

This however looks like it could be a nice running focused Fenix 5s. Which I ruled out because of the price.
