Fenix 5 Plus release imminent

Right, we all know that the Garmin Fenix 5 release is imminent, but the images obtained very a reliable source (that does not want to be disclosed) confirms without a doubt that the Fenix 5 Plus is going to be released very soon.

Garmin Fenix 5 Plus released!!!! full in-depth information here

As I have said I cant tell you how I came about these pictures or the Garmin Fenix 5 Plus, but all I can say is that these retail images of the Fenix 5 Plus sapphire titanium are very real and so is the WATCH.

Garmin Fenix 5 Plus release date & stock

Based on the source I have been speaking to, the Fenix 5 Plus will be released this week, no later than Wednesday 20th June 2018, but it could be released as soon as the 18th June 2018.

When the Fenix 5 Plus is launched this week it is expected that supply will be low, but Garmin is expecting to be able to meet the demand for the entry-level models, with the Fenix 5s Plus Rose Gold and the Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire Titanium being in short supply.

  • Garmin Fenix 5 plus silver and black
  • Fenix 5 plus sapphire price

  1. Great and informative video!
Do you have any information about the new quatix – can we expect such based on fenix 5 plus?

  2. Another thing, Garmin UK has removed the listing for the 5 PLUS or am I missing something? And the US version hasn’t got the leather band version or is it already sold out?

    • You do get the PulseOX monitor and climb pro. But I don’t think this is aimed at the average person. I agree, not worth the 300

      • You’re right about the $300, I do a lot of hiking across the whole year so I am tempted with the 5x PLUS and the PulseOX. Wonder if the coating can be done afterwards.

        • I suspect you could… but I don’t know enough to comment, but you may also invalidate the warranty.

Do you do enough hiking at altitude to warrant the fenix 5x Plus?

          • I’ve checked, at those prices it’s not really worth it and I don’t see a point in spending an additional $300 (300€ for me) on the coating.

Yeah, quite a lot actually, I go at least 2x if not 3x a week, almost every week (there are exceptions, but not frequent). And, well, as I said, I’m getting hell of a discount, basically the 5x Plus for the base model price.

          • Yeah, quite a lot actually, I go at least 2x if not 3x a week, almost every week (there are exceptions, but not frequent) for the past 2 years. And, well, as I said, I’m getting hell of a discount, basically the 5x Plus for the base model price.

    • Another thing, it seems that Garmin UK has removed the 5 Plus listing on their site or am I missign something? Btw why are there just 2 variants of the 5x PLUS in the US? There’s no leather band, was it sold out or something?

  3. 5 Plus Models will be available at Midday in the UK, retailers have stock already, but may not have the 5X Plus.

  5. This is odd, the Amazon spain site removed the prices, one video in youtube removed the unboxig video, Garmin forum removed the thread….wtf??

    • Garmin removed the thread on Friday, I am surprised it took them that long tbh when it had been up a week.
I didnt see the unboxing video on youtube, that one is a new one on me

  6. The titanium model is 10g lighter based on the specs listed on the bergzeit site. Do you have any view on if titanium will help or hinder the GPS/Ant +/Bluetooth performance?

  7. Fenix 5X Plus is also coming, the launch of all the three products is tomorrow. This has been confirmed to me by a salesman from Bever (Garmin reseller in The Netherlands) – I even have seen the promotional material but it was of course for my eyes only. 5X Plus is having the oxygen sensor indeed. Also display of all the three models is 1.2” with a resolution of 240×240 px. Bever is expecting to have all the models in stock on Tuesday.

Garmin would shoot itself in the foot by not releasing a 5X Plus.

    • Great info to have. I was purely speculating that the fenix 5x Plus was not coming, I don’t think it will be a big deal breaker if it didn’t
