Aqara updates its hub to V1.6.6

Aqara has today issued a firmware update its HomeKit hub taking it to version 1.66. The update itself appears to be bug fixes and based on reports does not have the same issues with previous upgrades.

For those of you not familiar with the Aqara Hub, it allows you to add inexpensive sensors and switches to HomeKit. You can check out a review of the Motion and water leak sensors to get an idea of how things work.

The hub update is only available via the Aqara app and no word yet for Mi Home users. However, the update which finally brings all firmware versions inline for all region. The Chinese hub moves from 1.6.2 and the US, EU hub moves from 1.5.9.

To upgrade to latest version, then head over to the Aqara app and follow the firmware update process to upgrade to 1.6.6.
